Welcome to The Beach Hut

The Beach Hut is now solely registered with the Care Quality Commission for accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care and treatment of disease disorder and injury age 18 to 24.

The Beach Hut was opened due to the high demand for stays at Seaside Cottage which was founded in 2008. The Beach Hut specialises in providing step down care, rehabilitation and long term residential placements for young people from the age of 18 with complex care needs and bridges the wide gap between children and adult services.

Sarah Crow and Amanda Owen are the registered owner's / directors, both experienced sick children's nurses who have worked within paediatric nursing at a senior level. Between them they have over sixty years of experience both in the acute hospital sector and in the community, nursing children and young people in their own homes.

At The Beach Hut we aim to provide specialist, high quality care for young people with complex healthcare needs. The home can provide placements for a maximum of 3 young people at any time thus maintaining the ability to provide a homely environment. We are able to accommodate ambulant and non-ambulant young people with a wide range of complex needs where high levels of intervention are required. Care will be planned, managed and overseen by the Managers who are experienced nurses, and designed to meet the needs of each individual and their family.
